Diva Weekly Challenge # 152

Diva Weekly Challenge # 152:   New Official Tangle - Aquafleur.  I started with a wash background then added an outline for the Aquafleur.  I added the turquoise colour 'shading' with a Tombow marker, shaded with a graphite pencil and paper stump then added white dots with a white Gellyroll pen.  I never know how the Aquafleur is going to turn out.

I have been unable to post to my blog this past week.  I will try this without a picture and see if it works.

Diva Weekly Challenge # 151

Diva Weekly Challenge # 151:  String Theory:  Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day.  I scaled down the logo to fit a Zentangle Tile.  I used a Rennissance Tile.  The background is the new tangle, Aquafleur.

Flowers and Pencil Crayon

I used pencil crayoons for the shading as well as graphite pencil.  I think the shading got a little messy.  Oh well, they say there are no mistakes in Zentangling.

Monochromatic Colour Scheme

I drew this Zentangle with My two blue Pigma Micron pens.  The shading is done with pencil crayons.

Blue Zentangle

I started with a blue and purple acrylic ink wash then added the tangles with a blue micron pen.  I highlighted the circles with a white Jellyroll pen.

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

This is my second attempt at doing a Renaissance tile.  I need to remember to make the images larger as the point of the white pen is not as fine as the micron pens.  The white pen makes good dots.

Diva Weekly Challenge No. 150:  One Little Word.  I couldn't think of my own word so used the word 'open' for this one.  This is my first attempt at a Renassance Tile.  I tried adding colour with watercolour pencil crayons.  I used distressing ink for the edges as there seemed to be a lot of 'white space' around the edges.

Circles into Flowers

I used my circle template and drew a large circle then some circles within at random.  I made these into flowers, added some leaves, some colour with pencil crayons and put some Printemps on the outside of the larger circle.  The background was a wash with acrylic inks.

Tangle Patterns Refresher # 86

Tangle Patterns Refresher # 86.  I used Stircles, X, Oskie, Heartrope and Pia.

Diva Weekly Challenge # 146 "Twenty Fourteen"

Diva Weekly Challenge No. 146  "Twenty Fourteen".  I just finished reading "The Golden Spruce by John Vaillant so this is what inspired me to do this ZIA/Zentangle.
I used a light tan coloured paper.  I have ordered some Renaissance tiles with a friend but they haven't arrived yet .

Sunday, January 5, 2014

I am practicing using a neutral background.  A friend and I ordered some Renessance tiles from Zentangle.com so when they arrive I should know what I am doing with them.  I used two shades of purple pencil crayon, a light brown and gold colour pencil crayons, brown and black micron pens, a white Jellyroll pen and a distressing stamp pad.

I saw another version of Aquafleur on the blog, "A Little Lime" by Helen Williams.  I tried to do it and this is how it turned out. It made itself into a flower.
