What not to do.  This is an experiment that went bad.  I will make sure the colours are better blended rather than blotchy next time.  It is way too busy.  I tried to tone it down with Indigo Blue pencil crayon.  I used Moving Day by Margaret Bremner, Tripoli and Mumsy.  The intense colours are with TomBow markers.

Yesterday I bought some new coloured Pigma Micron pens and Tombow markers so I drew some flowers to test out some of the colours.  Two of the tangle flowers are Tripoli and Flourish which is designed by Stephanie Skelton.  The top left hand flowers are from one of my Zentangle books.  The rest are designs I have found on the internet.

I used a small 'e' for the string and tried out Flourish by Stephanie Skelton.  my first attempt is in the lower right hand corner.  As you can see it is only half there so I did one correct one in the flower section.  I was also experimenting with the new no name tangle from Zentangle.com.  I will wait for them to show how to next week.

I used the new tangle from Zentangle.com.  It hasn't got a name yet.

I started with the tangle, InaPod to look like the petals of a flower.  I used a dark green Pigma Micron pen for some of the background.  I then put in some Mooka.  I checked out a new pattern on the Zentangle site - it has no name yet so used some of that design as the leaves of the flower.

I used a Celtic knot design for the string.  The colour is from some stamp pads that I have.

Diva Weekly Challenge No. 76 Home.  I used Msst to represent all the rain we get that grows lots of Fern and large trees and vegetation as this is a rainforest.  I drew some logs to represent our controversial exporting of raw logs.  I drew DL Labrinth because we just got our first labrinth in town and it was open to the public last week.  I drew Golven (Dutch word for waves) to represent the Tsuanami we had here in 1964.  We are a deep-sea port at the end of an inlet that goes to the Pacific Ocean.  Golven also represents the many mountains we are surrounded by as this is a large valley.  The waves would be green as our water looks green here because of the relection of all the trees.  I drew a fish hook to represent the sports fishing and Fish Net to represent the commercial and native fishing.

This looks like Ribbon and Lace.  I used Cadent and "C" Shape.  I also used a Jelly Roll Pen - Clear Star to colour in the dots which is difficult to see the sparkle in this scan.

This is a string idea I found on the internet.  It was black lines radiating from the center.  The tangles I used are:  #1 Steampunk Series by Molossus, Tri-po, Ving, Flooka, Printemps and Betweed.  The colour is from some stamp pads I have.  I didn't do any shading as it seemed finished to me.
