New Tangle Sun Sun

Tried a new tangle, Sun sun by Moze Wu.

I did a drop wash with acrylic inks.  The colour on the beads is with pencil crayons.

Tried Different Tangles

I did this at the Wednesday Painters' group.

Coloured Background

The background is coloured with inktense watercolour pencil crayons.  I was trying to get the background behind but it came forward.

String Idea

This is one of quite a few tiles I had put a gray wash on with my inktense pencils.

New Tangle Rundl

I used a gray wash with a black intense watercolour pencil crayon for the background.  I used Rundl by Tina Kirchhubel, Pixioze by Margaret Bremner, CZT and Henna Drum by Jane MacKugler, CZT. 

"It's a String Thing" # 148

I started with an acrylic splash background then added Fengle, Gauze or a grid and Printemps.  I used a blue Pigma micron pen for the small Printemps.

Island Tangle June 4,5, 2016

I went to Tangle Island in Parksville, B.C. with Jerryann Haggart, CZT and Nancy Dawes, CZT on the weekend.  These are the pages I did which have since been made into a booklet.

I went to Tangle Island this weekend put on by Jerryann Haggert, CZT and Nancy Dawes, CZT.

The background was Twinkling H20s dropped onto a wet background then adding more water and raw rice.

Row of Houses

I tried to make a house scene.  

Margaret Bremner taught a class and published the results on her blog.    I need to do some more one of these days. 

 I am used to working on 3.5 x 3.5 inch tiles that are finished in one or two sittings.  This one is 5 x 11 inches.
