The ZEN BUDS are a tangle by Danni O'Brien. I drew the string of intertwining branches in pencil, overlapping them then drew in the Zen Buds in ink. In pencil, I connected the buds to the branches , added leaves, inked them all in then erased the pencil. I then shaded the roses. I added the colour with DERWENT Watercolour Pencils. I wetted the roses but not the leaves and large intertwining branches. I will have to be careful not to get the brown and green wet as the colours will run as I didn't set them with water.
