Rose String

I drew out a rose for a string - the idea came from the book The Beauty of Zentangle and it is from Marizaan van Beek CZT's roses in the book.  Some of the tangles I used are:  Afterglo, Crescent Moon, Cubic, Caviar, Hypnotic, Tripoli, Knights Bridge and Stipple.  The colour is with Derwent watercolour pencil crayons and a Pigma micron pen.  It is good to be back Zentangling again.

I used one of the suggested superimposed strings by Aimee CZT12.  The center tangle is Batllo' Tangle by Maria Vennekens CZT.

I did this Zentangle on Sunday, June 22, 2014 but am just now getting around to posting it.  Three of the known tangles are:  Meer, Printempts and Snag.

Day 18-3 of One Zentangle a Day

This is another Zentangle from the One Zentangle a Day book.  The assignment for Day 18 was also to do a Zentangle somewhere else with a grab and go kit.  I couldn't sleep so I took my kit, etc. into the guest room and did it on the desk in there.  I haven't done any Zentanges for awhile so hopefully this will inspire me to get back into it.  I grabbed one of the tiles that I had done a watercolour wash on, drew some strings and began tangling in the sections.

Last week on the Diva Challenge they all used my tangle, Bugles.  I only got to thank the first 46 people who used it.  I would like to thank them all here.  It was wonderful to see how people used their creative talents and came up with so many different variations, ones that I would never have thought of.  Thank you all for participating.  I was honoured.

Diva Weekly Challenge # 166

Diva Weekly Challenge # 166:  UMT Diva Style.  I started with a blue and maulve wash background then added various sized circles with a template.  I free-hand added inner circles then joined them with straight lines.  I rounded off the inner sections and shaded the lines.  I then added some blue, maulve and white pencil crayon for colour shading of the circles.

Last of Cruise Zentangles

I didn't know what to tangle so started with Tripoli in the center, added Crescent Moon in each and then it all grew from there.  This is the 9th and final Zentangle on the Japan/Alaska cruise on HAL Volendam.  This was done on Tuesday, April 29, 2014.

Day 28 of One Zentangle a Day

I used Eke and Eke Tangelation and Sez.  This is the 8th Zentangle of the Japan/Alaska cruise on HAL Volendam.  It was done on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
